The Coastal map provides an overview of all outdoor activities and experiences along the coast. You can find information regarding the Coastal Trails and the Kystledhyttene (Coastal cabins), destinations, areas adapted for outdoor recreation, campgrounds, services and public transport along the coast. The map is ideal for hiking, walking, cycling, paddling, fishing, swimming and diving. It also includes boat launches. The area is one of the most popular places for excursions in summer and has a large number of cabins. Along the coast you can fish, swim, eat delicious meals, sail, sunbathe on warm, smooth rocks, dive, paddle and explore the national park. You can visit the area by bicycle, boat, car or public transport. The Coastal Trail is a continuous trail that primarily runs along the sea. Within the area covered by the map are many popular routes and destinations. Kråkerøy and Kjøkøya near Fredrikstad, the west side of Vesterøy and Asmaløy, and the area near Skjærhalden are all recommended spots for walking and experiencing the coastal landscape. Ferries: The Fredrikstad ferries connect the various parts of the town. The city ferry operates between Gamlebyen, Isegran, Smertu, downtown Fredrikstad, Værste and Gressvik. The Gamleby ferry operates between Cicignon and Gamlebyen, and the trip takes about a minute each way. The ferry between Sellebakk and Lisleby takes about a minute each way.
Nadir Hvaler Fjordcruise has several daily departures between Skjærhalden and Strømstad in Sweden.
